Now I’m the Only One to Drive
Resting my arm in the open window
Wind rushing through my hair.
Sometimes I’d try to capture
The sunshine and shadows across my skin
As he drove on winding roads.
Captivated by the freedom to experience
Let myself enjoy greenery and stars
And city lights over the bay.
Soaking in everything I wondered
If he ever did the same
Or what he saw in the passenger seat.
